It did have a weird vibe about it. As for the speakers, I thought they were fantastic. (I love the art of the pitch) Maybe that's just because it was my first JVAL I dug it so much. Also I found Joe's presentation very warm and inspiring. But you are certainly right about all the wonderful and very approachable crowd at JVAL.
